Last May, Dealpath released our Third-Party API providing customers and partners with convenient, real-time access to their data. We did this because we believe it is critical for real estate investment firms to have sovereignty over their data and the tools to unlock value.

Over the course of the last year, we’ve furthered strengthened our conviction in the importance of leveraging data to maximize returns from evaluating deals to managing a portfolio. Leading institutional investment firms have integrated the Dealpath API into their workflows and modern real estate tech stack. One example is a PERE 50 firm utilizing the API to transfer critical asset and deal data into their proprietary data warehouse for combining with other department data sources, enabling forecasting analysis and visualization. They’ve found that using their data in this manner has key benefits.

  • Increased transparency across the organization – By integrating their data using the Dealpath API, they’re able to perform holistic reporting across the departments (for example, not just their acquisition team) and they can pull their data from all their systems (including Dealpath) into the internal system.
  • Improved quality of data – The process of integrating the API into their improved process cast a spotlight on the quality of data and improved the quality of data being added into their system and therefore improved their ability to analyze data.
  • Data snapshots – The ability to programmatically retrieve data created the option to create snapshots of data, allowing firms to have an accurate picture of data in time allowing them to look back for reference.
  • Amplifying their own data – By integrating the API, firms are able to easily add a programmatic layer to their own data. Now they’re able to get insights quicker and democratize deal evaluation.

By enabling customers to use leverage their own data, Dealpath is addressing the growing need for firms to deploy modern tech stacks comprised of best-of-breed software solutions. “The modern real estate tech stack employs ‘best-of-breed’ solutions that are integrated seamlessly across the organization and lifecycle of an asset including market data, deal management, portfolio monitoring, property accounting, and fund administration,” said Dealpath CEO Mike Sroka.

February was a busy month at Dealpath. We’ve added several huge upgrades to the Dealpath platform, including the next evolution of the Dealpath API, a new widget for managing properties, a vastly improved file-viewing experience, and much more.

Dealpath API

The latest version of the Dealpath API is now live! The upgrade introduces the ability to pull data from external systems onto the Dealpath platform. Current customers can use this to programmatically pull information from asset management platforms (like Yardi or MRI) or pull market data from third-party data providers.

Export Upgrades

You have two new options for exporting the Deal Info page. You can choose to export the page to PDF in Legal or Tabloid sizes, and the exports have been enhanced with darker fonts and a cleaned-up header.

Dealpath Properties Widget

Properties Widget

We’ve added a new widget for managing properties to the Deal Info Page that shows all the properties attached to a deal. The widget can be plugged into existing templates without any extra configuration, and the information will automatically populate from the Properties page. The widget can be shown in a List or Tile view.

Streamlined Dashboard

The Map View on the Deals Dashboard is significantly more performant, with quicker load times and smoother zooming regardless of how many deals you have.

Dealpath Map Upgrade

File-viewing Enhancement

Dealpath Files Upgrade

The latest version of Dealpath’s file management is faster, smoother, and more user-friendly than ever. With new “previous” and “next” options, you can now navigate to different files without having to close and reopen them. Files are also presented in a cleaner fashion, allowing you to easily view them without having to zoom in.

New Country Support

Dealpath now supports deals in South Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Thailand. When creating a deal in one of these countries, addresses will auto-complete, and Dealpath will plot the deal on Google Maps and provide a Google Street View.

If you’d like to learn more about the Dealpath platform, please reach out to info@dealpath.com or request a demo! Stay tuned for future product releases.

The Deals Dashboard — a critical component of Dealpath’s industry-leading platform — recently received a major improvement. Dealpath customers use the dashboard as their command center for pipeline tracking. It provides a 30,000-foot view of all their deals, whether they be active, closed, or dead.

The new dashboard features several significant upgrades. It is now faster than ever, has more intuitive options for configuring and filtering, and boasts one of the most user-friendly interfaces in the real estate technology sector.

Faster than ever

The new dashboard was completely re-architected with speed and ease-of-use in mind. The improved engineering allows Dealpath to load views at unprecedented speeds, and a design refresh makes the dashboard cleaner and more intuitive than ever. Ultimately, this means teams will be able to work more efficiently and streamline their operations.

Endlessly customizable

Much of the power of Dealpath comes from its limitless customizability. Every page can be endlessly configured, tweaked, and edited to achieve the most effective interface for each team. Additionally, each member of the team can also configure their individual dashboard views to their preferences. The new dashboard makes it easier than ever to build and customize those views.

Dealpath Configure and Filter

New features

The upgraded dashboard now has a “Group by” button to easily organize your deals into the categories you prefer. For instance, teams can change instantly between views that group their deals by deal state, deal type, property type, or location. If certain team members prefer one grouping, they can set that view without changing those of their teammates.

In addition, the “Configure” button is now separate, making it easier to customize what information is shown for each of your deals, regardless of how they’re grouped. Common fields include deal progress, critical dates, and upcoming assignments, but the number of fields is endless. Finally, the “Filter” button has an improved user interface that makes it easy to establish which deals you want to see on your dashboard.

The new Deal Dashboard constitutes a major upgrade for the platform. The dashboard is faster, more configurable, and more intuitive than ever.

If you’d like a hands-on demonstration of how the new dashboard improves pipeline tracking for real estate investment teams, request a demo and one of our experts will be in contact shortly.

All Dealpath accounts recently received a major upgrade with the addition of Info Panels and Tables. Instead of the traditional 3-column format, users can now create custom Info Panels and organize their data in tables for easier viewing.

Info Panels fit in a 1 or 2-column format, allowing the newly added tables to stretch across the page. If you’re a customer, you can see for yourself and login to your account where the upgrade is already live. Otherwise, you can request a demo and we’ll show you firsthand.

Tables Before and After

The upgrade extends to all types of fields, including photos, maps, and now, tables. This gives users unprecedented customization over how they represent their data, allowing for easier data analysis and a more intuitive process for evaluating deals.

The upgrade was designed to make it easier for users to quickly view and edit their data. The result is cleaner, simpler, and ultimately more useful data formatting. This saves time and provides a more visually compelling user experience.
